I have seen the stock tires stretched on a 9" wheel before. I have also seen MANY on 8.5's so you have a lot of choices out there! Have fun.

Will the stock tires fit on a 17x7 wheel?

Yeah, but why? Going narrower kills the sidewalls ability to keep the tread from "rolling over" during aggressive cornering.

Why not just get the wheel size you want (which is whats important, not saving your stock tires) and then buy new tires for them. Just sell your stock wheels and tires.

most after market wheel companys do not offer the correct offsets that will clear the Big Brembo brakes. how wide the wheel, is not the only thing that you need to look out for. the wheels need to be able to clear the brakes also.

As BlueEvo says you not only have to have the correct offset but also the correct spoke design in order to clear the brakes.
