It seems some people don't know what to do when they don't have HIDs in their evo, cause I really didn't. I knew I could've just gotten an HID kit BUT all the talk about JDM headlights/retrofitting/custom wiring just didn't appeal to me. So I did what I was going to do waaay in the beginning. 9006 Low-Beam HID kit for NON-HID evo. This is my first how to for a non-power mod so bear with me it's not as thorough as I wanted it to be but I hope it'll help some people out there who I see are confused on here and on evom and socal. But any questions just pm and I'll gladly help. And if anyone sees any mistake or suggestion theyd like to make on my howto PLEASE feel free to let me know. Im not perfect, but like I said just wanted to help some guys out there.

TOOLS YOU WILL NEED:
-HID KIT 9006 HB4, I used the McCulloch 9006 8000K kit
-A good buddy to help you take the front bumper and undertray off, you can do it by yourself but its alot easier with some help. The undertrays a ***** to take off, and come of the clips will break so we recommend buying a spare bag to replace them
-10mm socket
-philips
-flathead
-Jack stands for extra room

Heres a pic of the HID KIT box

Here's everything laid out

Now the yellow connects to the yellow and the red connects to the original 9006 connector. How this works is you stick the 2 circled wires in the red and stick them through the plastic connecter (not pictured) that allows you to connect them to the original connector. Here's another picture of the kit with the plastic connectors I was talking about earlier.

These double sided sticky pads are used to stick the ballast to the headlight housing

Pack of zip ties to clean up the wires abit in the engine bay

Start by unbolting and taking off the front bumper. few clips up top, 2 bolts up top, clips and one bolt on each side in the wheels wells, million clips under. We found using drillbit to be VERY helpful

I'm sure most of you know what these are from...

It's not entirely necessary to take the whole undertray off, but we did anyway

Bumper off
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v64/kazpa67/100_0022.jpg
Start by taking off the headlight housing, 2 bolts up top, one on the each side
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v64/kazpa67/100_0015.jpg
Once loose, do not yank the housing out until youve taken out the highbeam bulb and the main connector
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v64/kazpa67/100_0018.jpg
Take out your existing 9006 bulb and set it aside, carefully screw in the HID bulb, then connect it to the ballast. We didn't mount the ballast there in the pic we mounted it in the stock point

Test it out. Great Success!

Do the same to the other side and you should be set. You should now start getting ready to put the bumper back on. BUT MAKE SURE ALL YOUR CONNECTIONS ARE SECURE. USE ELECTRIC TAPE IF NECESSARY.
Having fun putting the undertray back on...

These HIDs are great. Blue in the beginning bluish white when warm. Looks alot like stock I give this kit a 9.5/10. That about wraps things up thanks for looking!
