Is it really supposed to jump around so much? And is the TPS supposed to read 14% even with no foot on the gas?

Guess I'm just looking to hear "mine does that too" from someone and I will be happy ;)

i haven't really paid much attention to the TPS but my rpm bounces around 930 to about 96o with the occasional 1k bump in idle due to my cams and my timing advance bounces around anywhere from 7-10 degrees sometimes a quick dip into 6 degrees.

Thanks man. Sounds like timing supposed to do that. Its odd, i never noticed it before, then just the gauge in evoscan was bouncing when i looked at it waiting at the light. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback guys. Is it worth looking at the throttle switch or is 14% at foot off normal?

Yup normal, your car needs air to idle. :)

Now that was a 'duh' moment. ;) I was imagining TPs measured position from idle to open, but it makes complete sense (and blindingly clearly so) now you mention it ;)

Yay it normal, I just did a log. Turned out to be the similar to yours. Although my TPS was at 12.157

I was being anal about my idle rpm, I thought it was rather high. So I used Mitsulogger and turned out to be around 812-875rpms at idle

Awesome. Thanks for letting me know!
