The last of the dog days of summer races, tomorrow at old Castle AFB in Atwater, CA. We’re the last of the Evos running on a regular basis in this area, would be nice to see some Central Valley cars show up and give it a try.

Two series run regularly at Atwater:

Tomorrow is also the final event of the SFR-SCCA Championship Series at Marina Airport. Unfortunately I'll be finishing just out of trophies, but Evos are projected to trophy in A Stock, E Street Prepared and Street Modified classes.

Next event over here is Sept. 19th, should be mild weather by then. It’s actually been a little cool for us this week so we should have a nice day tomorrow. Last time out in the afternoon it was a 102!

Well, good luck at the various events tomorrow. 8)

The two Joes put down some some awesome times today, handily winning AS and ESP.

I finally got a win. :D Granted there was only one other AS-N competitor there, Jim Spohr in the white STi, one of the three AS-N regulars this season. It's usually a close race between him and I but for some reason I always seem to be able to beat him at Marina. Could be that the grippy concrete negates the advantage of his DCCD... or maybe I'm more experienced at driving on concrete. Anyway, a win is a win...

A big THANK YOU goes to EVO GRIM for patching my tire. Both he and I picked up nails in our tires on the way there. :( I don't know what I would have done without his help; the patch held up beautifully and I was able to get all my runs in.

Any time. Thanks for the use of the tools and the air.

I came back for fun runs and got a best time of 49.3, but still 4 seconds off of that Masters, That guy can drive!

Cool, the Evo Gods we’re smiling upon us! We had a good day, neat track configuration, a mini-Laguna Seca, really fun to drive. Only one other competitor in class (we set fast time in class) afternoons have been a little thin.

But we will end up being one of the fastest cars overall of the afternoon classes. On a course where most drivers were running low to mid 60s, a few 59s, we started with a 59 on our warm-up lap and worked down to a 56.31 on our 5th and final try.

From the looks of it, we have the following Evo drivers winning season trophies:
- Navid Kahangi, 1st place in E Street Prepared
- Joe Harrison, 2nd place in E Street Prepared
- Joe Masters, 2nd place in A Stock
- Adrian Tang, 5th place in Street Modified
Congratulations to everybody on a great season!

I think the SFR Evos have done well this season. All we need to do is finish 2nd or better and we'll take 1st for the season in ESP down here.

Its been a very good and very fun rookie year for us, we really enjoy this Autox stuff. Plans have already been made for the next two seasons of racing.

We only have three events remaining, the last one in November being a two day deal. I understand at the final event they also run a five lap enduro of some sort, that sounds like great fun.
