I dont really want to split the wiring harness open to fallow this back so I was hoping that someone could tell me what it is? its just held on by velcro and has a wire that looks like an antenna that runs across where the front of the seat would be.

what year is your car? I'm pretty sure ive taken out my seats a handful of times and never seen anything like that. Oh and if it's velcro i doubt it was factory installed...Depending on what it is i guess

how did you take your sound dampning out? heat gun and a scrapper?

nope, heat makes it worse. Just a hammer and a chisel. It took forever! I would highly recomend dry ice and a very wide chisel if you attempt it other wise you will get a million itty bitty pieces
