$158. Get the unpainted parts painted black (small enough that you could probably do it yourself), it'll look just like an MR wing.

EDIT: didn't notice it's "fake" CF. Yuck. :(

Wow that really does suck, sorry to hear it.

If it were mine I would start by taking the whole spoiler off and taking it apert to asses exact damage. It does fortunatly look salavagable to me, but not really sure by only those pics.

Good Luck..

i thought the mr wing was supposed to be full cf but it just looks like the actual wing part of it is just carbon fiber while the sides are just black..kinda sucks..

Nice job! :)

On a related note, anyone seen this? http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=99998

The painted part of the stock rear wing is CF! All you need to do is sand/strip the paint. I'm thinking about doing this--less paint, less weight, more bling... what's not to like? :D

Anybody know what kind of clearcoat I should use after stripping the paint away?

I MUST do that!

So I'm thinking about how to do this... A few questions I'm pondering:

1. Take the wing off first or not? (Probably, if using paint stripper, to avoid damaging the paint on other parts of the car.)

2. If I take the wing off, how easy is it to take apart? It would be nice to separate the painted part and not need to mask it or worry about damaging the rest of the wing.

3. What paint stripper to use (if any)?

4. What clearcoat to use on top of the CF?

Thoughts, anyone?
