I could make some of those out of clear acrylic or (better) polycarbonate or (best) frp/carbon. Who's interested?

I used to have these... the ones on the greddy evo but looks like all my old picture links are broke. They scraped up my windows... nice for ventilation for autox or track days or something but not sure If I could recomended them for street driving..with automatic windows.

plus one.

thats what i do...
so you can close it when you park and walk away...

ive thought about getting them for the "rally" look, but
someone can easily open your door, or toss things inside + when it rains. with those vents.

That's a damn fine idea Steve, but I work way over in Oakland. If you want to come down to Marin we can make some out of cardboard that I can copy.

Steve (I always type "Steeve" and then have to fix it) I only need your car for about half an hour. We may need to repeat the process later to make sure I got the design right- but I'll start with just a quick cardboard template.
I'm in San Rafael, and I am around most afternoons- email me with your number or pm me.

I expect to be able to make more in another week or so, I would love to make them from dark smoked polycarbonate. I'm test fitting this pair into Steevo8's car this weekend, we'll see if they stay in at the track! Then I'd love to make you guys some more. Maybe we better move this out of RRE's section... (oops)

Ay chris. Do you have pics of the finished product in black? Er if you got a chance to do the smoked ones that would be great too.

Ay steevo8, you got pics and review on fitment?

Uh... I've been sick. Oh yeah- and lazy!
But I'm getting a sheet of ABS to work with- it's black and slightly stiffer than the stuff I made the first version from. Your other project, Josh, will come out of the same sheet. Smoked will come later, the material is bloody expensive! I should sell the design to Rexpeed so they can do CF.

That might actually be a good idea. Keep us updated on when you have finished sets done. What's the price range?

wzcx
01-15-2008, 01:26 PM
I don't want to talk price until they're made, sorry uhoh_evo. I don't know whether I'm going to sell 'em myself or go through a shop or distributor.
