How to switch...

I don't know if this is in the right section but where should I wire the switch my electric cutout came with? I want the switch to NOT work when the car is off... I've searched and no luck.. and still searching... please help!Â* :? my only idea is to wire it to cigarette lighter?

tap a power/ignition wire off the radio

Can I just reach for the wire? or I have to pull the radio out? damn I feel like a newbie!

You'll have to pull the radio out. Some people also tap the cig lighter wire

I would also recommend either the cig lighter or radio. Cig lighter is a bit more clear because there's only one wire, whereas the radio has a bunch and you'll have to look for the right one.

that's exactly what I was thinking.. don't wanna pull out my radio and figure out which one is the right wire.. plus I'm planning on getting a different stereo for my car.. maybe I'll go for cig lighter!!

Are we talking about the cut out switch for the exhaust? I was thinking about this today! I'm interested as well.
