this is for those who are too scared to start cuz they don't know how to do it. it's easy... but here you are.

all you need is a screw driver. if you're doin' this in the dark a flashlight might help.

empty the box you see screws that you don't need, two short brackets and a plastic cubby. yeah this is gonna be easy.

start off by driving around for two weeks with your stock radio hvac panel gone

then go and unscrew the cubby. this pic is from the bottom up. two screws at the top

take note of what the back of the cubby looks like. after you unscrew the two up top you need to kinda pull down on the cubby and that'll liberate the cubby frame.

then go and take the radio out. mine only came with 3 screws... maybe yours came with all 4. you don't need them by any means. two will do fine. this is the back of the radio, note the two connected things

disconnect them.

take note of how the new shorter brackets will go into the lower radio area. there are self tapping screw holes and these little slide rails you can barely see.

note older longer bracket

see how the new one is shorter?

now for the pain in the ass part. you must route the radio harness BEHIND the metal rail in the back. just trust me, if you try to wedge it in the back of the hvac control module you'll end up bending stuff when you try to shove the radio into the rails. nothing will seat and you'll end up with possible cracked hvac stuff. so it's a major pain to try to reconnect the radio to the harness after looping it behind the rear metal bar thing back there. after a lot of tries you'll get it... don't ask me how to remove it though.

this is what hte radio should look like when it's in place AND PLUGGED IN. don't forget to plug in the radio.

now screw in the self tapping screws from your old radio set up, see told you you don't need those screws in the box. i only put in two.

all done. just snap the cubby cover in place.
