Amsoil or Royal Purple oil?

Hello guys/gals. I know this has been tossed around so much about different kind of oil. I can get both for the same price. So which one would you get? Amsoil has that 25,000 mile oil change thing and Royal Purple say it increases hp and lowers engine temp. So which one?

Amsoil is snake oil. That shit is not even ceritfied.
Stick with the M-1. Royal Purple has not yet been proven to be better than M-1, it does cost more and is harder to come by.

For real, stay away from the Amway oil.
All of the guys on here that are in thier 30's will get the "Amway" referance.

I used Amsoil in my 300zx TT and saw no benefit other than lightening my wallet. ;) I wish I could find conclusive evidence one way or the other on this kind of stuff, beyond the marketing propaganda.

friend us to use Amsoil on his 240 for years, the car ran excellent with no problems.
The differnce is that its 100% synthetic oil compare to Mobil 1 which is a Synthetic blend.
I use to use Motul whihc is great, but switch back to Mobi1
Mobil 1 is the best for what you pay for, it wasn't worth it paying $25.00 for 2 quarts, when Mobil 1 did just about the same.

Mobil 1 is not a blend. They do sell a blend but it is not Mobil1.

after seeing your post i need to correct my statement, im doing some research on differnet brands of synthetic oils and you are right mobil 1 is 100% synthetic its castrol the one that doesnt make a true synthetic oil but a blend. i remember reading an article about it and got the brands confuse.

Mobi1 actually sued Castrol for calling thier oil synthetic.

They just did a test on spike tv "car and driver" and had a heat monitor.
They did a test and it shows the royal purple reduced heat by 10 Farenheit from other leading syn oil.
