Lancershop *says* the 24th. I hope that date is right since the status has always been "coming soon".

I'm damm near tempted to make my own outa 2 Evo 7 badges. I called Lancershop about a month ago when they said it was going to be here on the 12th.

Leif is correct. Due to lancershop buying 300+ FQ330 badges(thats what they are), Mitsubishi UK has halted the sale of the badges to keep the fq330 exclusive or something like that. :-\

It occurs to me that it should be easy for someone with the know-how and the capabilities to make an "aftermarket" badge identical to the UK one. Trademark issues notwithstanding...

i dont think you can trademark a common phrase or word, nor a common font

Ah, so why is it you had to pull your website offline? :P The "EVOLUTION VIII" badge design can absolutely be trademarked and/or copyrighted by Mitsubishi, and probably is.

Font (or rather, typeface) designs are copyrighted as well, though making look-alike fonts is okay it seems. Ever wondered why Windows has "Arial" instead of "Helvetica" (the original typeface)?

lolz yeah prolly but isn't the word evolution a common word?...wait nvm...
evoltuion VIII is prolly trademark but prolly not evolution alone...oreo?

cuz im still trying to learn more about copyright laws...which isn't on the subject of trademarks lolz...but then again..as for "evolution" they can trademark it prolly but can not copy right it, I think...

for sure you can't copy right a word and font or color...but trademark is something entirely different....

I'm sure if i went out and bought a TRD badge or a VTEC badge from wherever or whoever and slap it on my mitsubishi, I'm pretty sure no one can tell me i can't have it on my car (although, i wouldntt do that lolz)

I was talking about if you wanted to produce badges identical to the UK Evo VIII badge. It would be same as making fake Disney merchandise--Disney Corp. would sue you in a heartbeat. Not that that stops some manufacturers from some overseas countries.

maybe someone should find the trademark number on that
