Is it possible to run 2 exhaust exits on an Evo VIII? Anyone seen this done before on an VIII or IX?

just wait for the evo x.

im sure ppl will be changing out their stock exhausts, and you can just use the mufflers off the x. :p

There was a magazine I read a few months back that had a dual exhaust evo in it...it was an 8 or a 9...don't remember. I believe the exhaust was a piece made by ARC. Full titanium with dual exit and each side had dual tips side by side. It was sweet. All the tips had the standard "blue" color as well. Can't remember which magazine (cause there are only like 20 to choose from) but if I do, I will let you know.

I remember that one...it was an EB whatever, but I forget the mag also. G/l...

DirectorSe7en,
I really forgot which magazine was it, but when I was in Barnes and Noble a few months back, I read that you will lose torque if you have dual exhausts depending on the custom-made exhausts diameter....

Hope that helped bro.

Damn, that was the last thing I wanted to hear :(

Thanks for the advice though, good lookin' out.

I only wanted to do this under the impression it was easily done, seeing as how theres more trouble and downsides, it has me second guessing.

The dude in the mag was the first one I've ever seen or heard of. You could get it done, it would have to be custom made though...

Hmm, I wonder if Speed Element or GST is capable of such Mod-ery.

They most likely are capable but you dont need the added back pressure^ you will see some performance loss I bet.

Yea, I think I'll take the advice to not do it. I think there's a reason you don't see anyone with it.

^That, plus the added weight...

It was from Modified, September 2007. You wouldn't want to do it. The whole exhaust was custom made, and cost a LOT of money. Not worth it for the looks.

I'm sorry, I'm a realist. Hah, if you want to check it out, grab the magazine. It's crazy blinged out. Got a monster sport built engine. Pretty cool.

Haha, not a dream, just a vision.

I only thought of it thinking that people had done it before....Seeing how costly it would be, it just doesn't seem worth it.

Yeah, as far as I know, it's the only Evo in the world that uses a dual. I think more looks than performance too, seems to be more back pressure and bends than is required. Sure looks purdy though. Nice sig btw :D
