which tires do you guys recommand to put on a 18" 8x5 ?? I don't need very grippy tires with a very high price tag, as long as it will have good traction on over all weather season will be fine
Thanks

Pretty inexpensive. And I can keep the stock tires just for autocross.
30 day trial period, so if I don't like em I just get kumho asx

Honestly...you could go with a Khumo MX and save a bunch of money over the S03s. I had both on my S2000 and the MXs were much more predictable and about $60 less a tire.
I would probably go with the 245/40/18 if you do decide to try the MX.

Just ordered a set of Goodyear F1 GS-D3s from TireRack in the OEM size; pretty good price at $159 a tire. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Eagle+F1+GS-D3

Figured it would be a decent "winter" tire, I'm just too nervous about the Falken Azenis Sport's performance (or lack thereof) in standing water.

Those look nice Tam but no bueno for the snow. Kinda puts me in a tough spot wanting a tire that will handle snow.

Snow isn't really something I'd planned on dealing with. My use of "winter" in quotes meant "California winter", meaning "it rains once a week".
I grew up in Canada and have had enough snow to last a lifetime, thankyouverymuch.

I know they 'aint cheap but the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S are really an excellent tire! It does snow, dry, and wet all amazingly! Plus the treadware is double the SO3's for the same price almost.

Yeah I had seen those but when I saw the Michelins they were beating the Perellis in almost every category. Weird. I think I've made up my mind on the Perellis now! The only difference is the Michelins have a higher speed rating (Y over W) but who the hell is going 168? For almost $70 more a tire it's not worth it!
