View Full Version : How to plug in GM 3 port to stock BCS plug

I am using the GM 3 port and ECU to control boost. I am into stealth and hate cutting or tapping into stock wiring. I saw a post earlier that the opposite plug for the BCS is not available. Today I spent some time in the local Pick your Part looking for a solution. I found IT! I took the pressure sensor off the aircon line from a 90 Galant, any late model Mitsu should work. The 1 on our cars is the same. This has the same plug as the BCS. I used a hacksaw to remove the metal around the sensor and then removed the innards of the sensor. You then have to pry out and trim the contacts, solder on the pigtail and resistor. I will use some silicone or epoxy inside the area where the soldered contacts are, you will see that it is a void in the back of the plug. I also got the pigtail for the GM 3 port, they are common on gm cars. I will try to post pics later.

I've made these molds and have made a few "plug and play" harnesses for these already.Â* I have been working with Bryan at GST and if they decide may be (read: when I get off my lazy a$$) able to offer these to their customers.

*IMPORTANT NOTE* I do not work for GST and make no claims on their behalf. Hopefully they don't mind me chiming in.

Had not heard that, for the do it your self kind of guy this is easy and cheap. I got all the stuff free at the pick your part. For those that don't want to make it themselves and a cleaner look I imagine yours would be the way to go.

Looks almost identical to the one you found but the plastic is tan. :D

Good find by the way. Reason I ended up molding them was cause I couldn't find them and was wasting more time searching than just doing it this way. Guess it just depends what resources are closer. :)

Cool find 76kcf.

Was/is there a part # on that?

No part #, I pulled it off a wrecked car. If you look at the aircon lines on your EVO you will find the pressure switch, should be the same 1, check the plug. I looked at a lot of cars and this was the only solution I could find, it works fine.

It is a wrecking yard where you pull your own parts. It is cheaper and also good for finding things like the plug. Most yards here won't allow you in the yard so I go to the do it yourself type. They usually have slightly older cars, some have a newer car section though.
