I think so, it's not OEM and it's not a "consumable" part; for example I wouldn't consider different tires to be a mod.

Remember, a fast car does not a fast driver make.

-20% whp on Shiv's dyno. Man, I like ATP's dyno, but I feel like it is not very accurate. Not that I am busting your balls whatsoever, it's just that ATP needs to get a different dyno and Works needs to stop using it.

Lord Stockdale, are you planning on getting the Works Turbo Kit? They should call the Works turbo kit "Colon".

Hi howi,

The pc680 hawker battery is pretty light, but i don't think it's a good fit if you have a powerful audio system... but they do make a larger battery pc925 that can support a powerful audio system. How's do you like your optima?

my optima is great! my reserve is like 120 minutes :)

and like i previously mentioned....its closer to 1250 CCA or something like that...the mfgr claim is very modest hehe....

its a lil bit heavy (about 44 lbs) but i kinda like my car heavy cuz
i do a lot of traveling from socal back up to norcal and it gets crazy windy...

when i had my civic lolz...i saw this camry pass me up like going 70mph
when i was goin 25MPH cuz the wind was like 85mph or something that one night and guess who i saw in the ditch flipped upside down 20 minutes later? hahaha yup! you've guessed it the same white camry that passed me up...i swear the wind was soOOOO crazy that day...i was going 25mph and i thought my car was gonna flip...so having that sound system and all that heavy stuff can act as an advantage or safety feature hehe :)

I dunno, if you're worried about crosswind you should get a car that's nice and rounded that wind will just pass over--like a TT--or maybe some really low to the ground--like a Lambo.

Hmm.. if I were you, and please accept my apologies for the unsolicited advise, BUT - I would skip the intake/air filter, skip the BOV and save for something else. An exhaust is a must have as is a reflash of some kind, be it Works P2 or Vishnu Xflash. You might also consider getting a rear sway bar - I know that Road Race Engineering sells a perfectly fine one for 150$.

Thanks for feed back Jan. Believe me, I would splurge on my ride, but i'm on a budget. Saving money to hopefully buy a house sometime this year. So i'm just trying to get a little here and there on approval of the wifey.

There are problems with the mods you are talking about, unfortunately. BOVs can have issues regardless if they are VTA or recirc. VTA is likely to bog your car and changing any BOV can lead to a boost leak if not installed correctly.

Intakes can actually lower low end torque and generally have to be tuned around by a tuner. While they increase max hp, the Evo is generally regarded as weak in the low end so it needs all the torque it can get in the low end.

yup, from all the things and sources i've read, this seems to hold true, unless you have your ECU reflashed and tuned...trust me i have the drop in and i've lost a lot of low end...bah
