You too, eh? I just bolted them down tight and that seems to be okay... hopefully they'll seat themselves over time. If they become a problem I figure I take them out and trim them but does seem like a pain; so far they haven't budged at all and I've had them for a little over a week.

Did you lubricate the shifter bushings in the engine bay? I didn't, and found that the shifter action made a kind of rubbery squeaking. Some WD40 fixed that but I may want to go back and apply some grease at some point...

oh ok... so ill just do that then..dont want to make any upgrades to the bushing... and yeah your right its squeaking... but its somewhat smoother...

That is the reason why I sold my bushings. I didn't like having to shave them down to make them fit. I ended up buying the Speed Source metal shifter base bushings and they fit like a glove.

I greased up my cable bushings, BTW.

I know this thread is old news but got my bushings in today, didnt install the UnderHood bushings yet but the cabin bushings DIDNOT fit, kinda sucks because kartboy is my brand of choice when i owned my subaru.

Oh well, ordered some WORKS bushings :D

I used the some metal ones from lancershop on my last car and they worked great not to mention that they were considerably cheaper then a lot of others.

Make sure youre sandwiching the bushings on top and bottom. Each bushing has a small thread on one side and you needta put those threads together and sandwhich them between the cage. If you get it right they should fit right in...heres a pic so you knwo what im talking about
