Right, there is another thread here (http://www.norcalevo.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15) about where to find racing gas locally.

The 76 in question sells it for around $3.60 per gallon. But rumour is that they will no longer be selling it after the current supply runs out.

I also have it on good authority that these two other places sell it: Frey Racing and Gruppe-S, both in Fremont.

When buying, make sure it is unleaded racing fuel. Unless you're cat-less, I guess. :(

If you have any more information on other sources, please follow up in that thread... (http://www.norcalevo.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15)

$3.60...per gallon? now bad...is it in a container? a "milk" gallon? or do you have to buy it out of the pump?

Someone posted on EvoM tonight that the 76 no longer sells 100 Octane from Trick Racing. :(

It is a sad, sad day.

:x The only reason I ever went to that gas station--since it's quite out of my way--was to go buy 100 octane. And of course I would always top up my tank when doing so. I'll bet they'll lose a lot of business as a result of this.

hmmm..what's the reasoning behind their stoppage of selling the product?

Sacramento area EVO owners: you can get the 100 octane gas at "Hot Rod Imports" in Elk Grove, 916-686-4363. The guy there says he'll be getting some 110 octane gas soon.

I just called to verify: Capitol Honda's part shop sells 100-octane gas in 5-gallon cans. $32.95 a pop.

You can get 110 Octane "leaded" at the pump at the Olympian Gas on So. Linden Ave, 35 So Linden Ave, South San Francisco, the last time we filled up, it was $4.25 a gallon, not too bad if you don't drive you're car that much. Hours of operations 5am to 8pm M-F, Sat 6am-3pm, Sunday closed.

Lead will kill your cat. Your catalytic converter as well.

It will also put a nice coating around your O2 sensor. Not a big deal unless you run it all the time. Switching back to unleaded will help clean it off.

The latest word is that the 76 at Almaden & Foxworthy is going to keep selling the TRICK race fuel.

They are supposed to be getting another load on Monday.

$4.29/gallon.

I went by Capitol Honda today for the hell of it - as I suspected the 100octane stuff they've got there has been sitting on the floor for at least 3 months and maybe longer. I don't know how long it takes gas to go bad but that seems like a while.
