I def want to get the wieght down as a first priority, but keep it nice and driveable on the interior.
I figure, best things I can do is remove the spare and others from the trunk, get lightwieght rims, when it's available a CF Hood & CF Trunk. What else?

looks like all the weight is in the rear - that's a good thing
but it's still a pig

Honestly if its just a street car I wouldnt put much effort into trying to get the weight down. It wont really serve much purpose.

i wonder how close a fully gutted X is compared to a fully gutted IX. That way you could see how much of the extra wieght in the X comes from anemeties..

This is one of the reasons I bought my IX. The Evo has officially become the fat chick at the party.

the 8's and 9's are overweight imo. The X is obese.

Yea, :? I figured.
I have always wanted to take my Evo to the track every once in a while and get a feel for it. Everyone recommends it and says I'll become addicted. It's made me somewhat curious :D

56.7/43.3 according to those scales
Evo 8/9 where about 61/39
The battery in the trunk on the X probably helps a bit.

even on the track it wouldnt make much difference unless you could loose 300lbs+, untill you really get a feel for the car. Unless you plan to do 6-8+ track days a year it would really be a waste of time and effort to start getting the weight down on a street car. Your far better off just spending the money on tire/brakes/fluids etc
