View Full Version : ~~Rims/Tires Recommendations~~ Best & Worst?

I know there are a few of these, but none are Evo X specific.

I'm looking for some good Rims and Tires suggestions for the X. I want to run 19x10 and strongly prefer Black with a polished lip. I'm in love with the Advan RS, but I think they're all Black only.

I had some in mind prior to this thread but had been told that I picked just about the worst possible

So I need to know some good rims, and the best street tires to get. Also, just for arguments sake, what are some rims to stay away from. Also, price is not a factor for the rims or tires. That doesn't mean I want to spend $1,000 a wheel, but a high price wont scare me.

well....19x10 + tires = shitload of $$$$ lol Hmm here's something affordable to think about. HP EVO 19 x 9 with sumitomo tires....that setup will be like 1000ish and theyre 19s with black and cheom lip. Why you want 10 inde wide so bad? No point bro just bragging rights lol

If price is not a problem, I can have 3 peice wheels custom made to any size 18 inch and over made for you, your own brand. Made in Japan or Germany, your choice.

The Evo X is a bigger car than the Evo 8 and 9 yet overall wheel size is not much different so I wouldn't go 19".

I'd say 18x9.5/10 +15 offset to fill out those wheel wells and push the wheel out to give it a wider stance. Fitment of that size should be a lot easier than on the Evo 8/9.

Yes there can a ben brand... there are BBS so you can be BB. Also forgot to mention that I can have SSR make wheels in any offset you want for their 2 and 3 piece, price is decent at about 2400 for 18 or 19.

I think everyone is missing the most important point and that is, who the hell is PangesSucks?

This post is even in the correct forum, "FAQ." ;) Â*I'm pretty sure I've asked this question at least once or twice already. :D

DD, I'd like to keep it around $2,500 for the set. But if there's something undeniably awesome for just a little more, then I'd consider.

Yea, but this is Evo X specific.

Fixed it for you.

He'll probably say something about my answer being sex with an orangutan or something, while his answer is sex with just a hairy woman. ;)

http://www.gruppe-s.com/SSR/SSRTypeCRS.htm Here check them out, they are missing the polished lip but, look at the offset and sizes.

Those are pretty sick. Is there anything in existence that looks like the Advan RS but with a polished lip?

ey guys wutt offset would be good on 18's on my evo8!! i tried my bois konig 18x7.5 40 offset and they dont fit... it hits the brembo calipers in the front!!

thisxguy
11-10-2008, 11:14 AM
that offset is too high and i wouldnt even consider going with a thinner rim that the stocks (8 in).

if you really want to run those, you'll need to use spacers

sprytsi
11-10-2008, 11:47 AM
Why would you buy 18x7.5? I would think 18x8 would be the minimum you would want to go.

This is an old thread also

triple L
11-11-2008, 01:04 AM
wutt offset would ya recommend on 18's?? sorry for noobie ass ? and old thread...

thisxguy
11-11-2008, 01:16 AM
it all depends on the rim you want to run. you can compensate for rims that dont clear the brembos with spacers

but i think the offsets around 28-37 usually fit without spacers. but of course, each rim is different so double check. there is a thread in socalevo that talks about wheel fitment. if i find it, i'll post it
