Is there anyone here that ever thought of powder coating their rims or maybe having them painted? Where did they have them done and How much?

dude just do it yourself.
it is really easy to do it. just get a fine grade steel wool and take off the first layer or just abraise it and then clean it of with just water, nothing else then let it air dry. then you can lay a few layers of primer, then if u use black make sure that you use the flat and then spray that dupli-color clear coat on it. and remember to put alot of coats of clear on it. well pm me and i will help you out a little better. i have my rims done like a textured graphite color and i think that it looks off the hook.

Just make sure you prep. it right because if you don't later on the paint will chip off due to the heat, that is, if you do alot of hard breaking.

I got my wheels powdercoated gloss black at US Powdercoat in Rancho Cordova. I believe it was $60/wheel. That included sandblasting.

yeah prep it good... use a prepping solvent to clean the rims, dont just use water and soap, it cant get everything. dont use any primer... they sell a primer that wont flake but the most important thing is getting it ready for the primer.. i painted my rims myself and they look off the hook cuz i didnt paint the whole rim, left the lip alone so it looks different from everyone else who painted their rims... and used the harley davidson color for the rim... you can go to your body shop and have them mix you up a color and they will transfer it to a can so u can use it at home.. thats what i did.. ill post a pic when i get a chance.. or one of the guys have a pic of my car with those on it
