hmm. I would like to see what the baseline for a stock X is on that dyno. The pull sounded kinda odd as well. Whats up with that?

They're running the 20g Turbo... 8)

This is incredible how fast they're doing this. I just hope it's safe.

looking good!

well at least they had a good opening song.... Killswitch

Dyna pack is a 4 wheel dyno, their readings vary just like everything else. Good baseline is the only thing to look at. Regaurdless X's are gonna be good

works uses a dynapack...

Keep in mind that is also with racegas @ 28psi with a upgraded turbo and a AEM FIC piggyback.

I thought Dynapak is a 2 or 4 wheel dyno, it just depends on if you buy enough modules.

Will be interesting is when aftermarket X cams hit the scene and MIVEC adjustments can be made to
both cams. Response and area under the curve should be more interesting with the 4B11. Wonder what can be done about the inabililty to dial in negative valve timing events since cam gears for both cams do not seem possible now.

Guys they have AWD dynapacks, but just for refrence, the invisgaurd guy has a c6 like mine, tuned by synergy that made 435whp.. Bryan can confirm, but I think the same car made something like 385whp on the GST dyno... the difference would be even greater with AWD since its removing two additional wheels from the equation. For determing actually engine power, dynpack is probably the best method to use.. some people believe the lose in power is static number and not a % with the wheels removed.

I would guess this car would be more like 350s-360s on a mustang...overal, its nothing to freak out about considering its running on race gas.. cant wait till the car starts hitting its stride under realistic circumstances.

I think nebo said his got 225whp on a mustang dyno with like a 9:1 AFR stock. But he took the filter out and it leaned it out to like 11 and got 243whp or something. Just off the top of my head tho, till he chimes in.

Yeah I know, but that doesnt mean much when comparing two drasticly different dynoes. I have seen as high as 290whp dynojet graphs, in which if that's the case they didn't pick up much from a turbo upgrade, race gas, and a tune.

maybe seems like it will be the same thing as the IX vs the VIII with cams. The Xs cams are a good amount more aggressive than the IX so I dont know if there will be a lot of room for improvement, just like the IX doesnt make the same gains as the VIII with cams.

The post under the video claims that that car made 260 whp stock so it's a gain of 165 whp.

steevo8
02-22-2008, 04:30 PM
Viii are doing that on race gas with cams and a stock turbo. A 8 with a green did 400+ which I would assume is about 180-195whp gain, not to mention its in a lighter car. Not trying to take anything away from it, but put into perspective its decent but nothing to write home about YET.

Yea but this X is with a piggyback on a ECU that nobody has seen ignition, fuel, mivec(x2) or any other tables for yet.

Just wait till the flashing software gets out there, I think we will see some impressive stuff. I really think this new X has some serious potential from what I have seen from our baselines and the opened up motors.

Kind of sounded like compressor surge to me. Nice numbers though!

I'm just waiting for Vishnu to come out with their tuning stages for the X. Once that comes out, I'm going to them and I'll be done with my power ups for the X!!!
