Just curious...what is the widest tires have anyone slapped on the stocker enkies???
I know 255/40/17 is a popular choice...but can you actually go wider?!!?!? :?

I wouldn't recommend going any wider than that...you'll start having performance issues if you did. Besides, 255's look pretty beefy on the Enkei's!!!

255/40 would be the limit... it is actually a bit wider than would be recommended for the stock 17x8 wheel but it works ok. Any wider and it will look really wierd and handling will suffer.

I totally agree, but I have heard of 275/40/17 v710 tires getting mounted

Kumho V710's are slicks...so the normal rules of thumb don't necessarily apply...so it may be possible to fit 275's on them...but you really have to ask yourself, why? If you're at the point of wanting to fit so much rubber on the car, one should really start to consider wider wheels to get the best performance out of them. Also, mods wise, does the car put out enough power to handle this much rubber, because if not, it would really slow the car down!

255's are fine on the stock wheels.

Oh yeah... they can be "mounted"... but then you can probably mount a 175 on the stock wheel too... why would you do that?

I run the 245's on my VIII wheels & luvin' it. When I got the car, it had the 255 Azenis on there, & it did'nt feel too good in the turns.
