Sup everyone, I am looking to buy some wheels for my 05 EVO, and thinking about the Volk Racing Te37 or Advan Model 6. What do you guys think about these wheel? What wheel do you have on your Evol?

I love the TE37s on the EVO. Too bad they're so damn expensive and sought after by thieves.

Yeah, I am actually in love with the LE37s (gunmetal with polished lip), but will probably get the Enkei RPF1s for the incredible weight savings and cost.

I would love to get some Volks eventually, but I am gonna go the cheaper route for now and get some Rota Torques in hyper black. Hopefully sometime next year...sigh.

Just ordered some Kosei K-1 TS (http://www.tirerack.com/servlet/CallJsp?target=runWheelSearch&initialPartNumber=TS140S&sizeIndex=0&wheelIndex=1&autoMake=Mitsubishi&autoModel=Lancer+Evolution&autoYear=2003&autoModClar=&showRear=no&email=Y) in 17x8, wrapped in Pirelli PZero Corsa 255/40-17 R-comp tires. The Koseis are reasonably priced at $239 each and weigh only 15.5 lbs. The Pirellis--on special at TireRack--are a steal at $128 each.

Hey Goku,

I did not know that the RPF1s were available in a 17X8.5!! I thought they only came in 8 or 9" wide?? Do you recommend the 17X8.5 over the 17x9??

with the 17x9 for the off set that i need, you dont clear the front calipers :( besides 17x8.5 are more then enough for 255's and even 275 tires :D

I decided the 17x8 Koseis were just a hair too narrow for 255 tires, so I just ordered the 17x8.5 Enkei RPF1s, 30mm offset.

I don't think so; TireRack has a sweet deal going though, you get free centering rings and free lugnuts to go with the wheels. And if you get tires in the same order, free mount & balance. Shipping is pretty reasonable too from their Nevada warehouse. The Enkeis were slightly cheaper but I have to buy centering rings and lugs separately.

What size and offset should I pick for a 18"?

18x7.5: 44, 48

18x8 5: 44, 48, 49

You sure about that? The SSR Comps I just got (17x8.5) came with offset 30, and I'd say there's maybe 6-8mm of clearance before they get a bit close to the caliper. I'm sure you'd need spacers with offsets above 40.

Okay, what is a good size and offset for a 18" volk racing wheel? hehe =)..

How about the Kazera KZ-Vs? Anyone running these? Couldn't find info here when searching. I'm wondering if they are poor quality wheels.

http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheels/kazera/swap/kazera_kz_v_cg_ci3_l.jpg

Wouldn't mind the look of these rims as long as the center cap is removable... fugly.

I would rather get the Gram Lights 57S-Pro, but for some reason, the Tire Rack doesn't have them listed under the Evo... so maybe they don't carry those rims. They have the Kazeras, but they also aren't listed, so maybe they don't have the right offset in stock?
