Idiots will pay it trust me. When I picked up my IX from capitol, some douchecanoe had just bought a IX MR and was telling me how he got a killer deal on it and that I should get a MR too because it was so fast, his "deal" was a few Gs off their sticker price

I think the IX MRS were stickered at 45k there

ya the $38k is the base price, doesn't include the navi or any of the good stuff.

Ralliart version will sell like hotcakes if the price it well.

I'm not going to be one of the idiots paying MSRP. Only way I buy this is if someone gives me Invoice or damn close to it.

Nebo, is it $37,999? Or $38,999? :?

lol, i hope hes got a serious downpayment

I do. Been saving since December '07 for this car. ;)

I sincerely hope Capitol sales these at Invoice to NCE members. If they don't I'll be forced to play the waiting game until someone cracks and lowers the price.

I'm getting the Navi and $40k not including tax is way too much. I'd rather pay $35,500 for invoice then get Navi and have it be $37k not including tax. Then I can factor in my down payment.....

too much for a uh, auto-, er, no-clutch-pedal-to-shift-just-use-the-paddles-or-in-short-of-being-lazy Evo ;)

How about,Â* *alternative to Manual Transmission.

^They said they will be selling for Invoice. If no-one in NorCal will match, I will go down there.

Nope, the only thing standard on the MR that you have to pay for on the GSR is HID's and the Big Wing.

You have to pay extra for Navi and the Aero Kit.

dont try prettying it up c-bass. its still an auto no matter how you call it :)

I'm not denying that it's not a true Manual. I just don't think it should be thrown in the same category as some Ford Taurus automatic. It's more sophisticated and should be given credit for that.

Even at invoice it will be a pricey car. But then if you think about it, the old MR was not cheap either. Pricing is about right, I just don't know if it will sell.

Mitsubishi is in a hole right now and the Evo is not the mass market car to pull it out.

shoulda never changed the chassis, save production and engineering costs, and just made this beast a little bit better still

True that. I personally believe that this pricing will have potential buyers looking to BMW and elsewhere.

I've got to be the biggest X MR fanboy on NCE and even I'm hesitating, so imagine someone who was already hesitating. The only thinig that will get my to buy this is an Invoice price tag.

Exactly, I wonder what the hell they were thinking!?

I'd rock a 335i or even the new 1 series coming out for that price.

So other than the BBS wheels, HIDs, and SST tranny, what other features do the MRs have over the GSR?

C bass, I know you like 335i's. why the hell would you pay so much for a pos mitsu when its like the same price as a 335i AND ZOMG THE 335i COMES WITH PADDLE SHIFTERS!! bro youre set!

1. the reason why he would buy the Evo over the 335 would be most of his options he wanted are included in the price. If you go for the 335 you'd buy leather and active cruise control all the fun gadgets and eventually run up a $50,000+ car.
2. The other reason is yes the bmw build quality is exquisite, but Long Term out of warranty what is the better car (and cheaper to maintain)? That's why everyone here bought an Evo (less likely to leave you stranded)

I would clonk down 40k w TTL for an Evo X MR.

^ I agree with what your saying but just fyi a FULLY LOADED 335i with all the cool stuff is like 44k from the right dealer

can we get back on MR price..

Any guesses on Invoice?

My guess is that you'll have a snowball's chance in hell getting invoice on the MR anytime soon. Southcoast maybe...but even that is questionable.

Good luck with that....

^I'd say my chances are more like a fat guy getting his hands on food.

SouthCoast has said in their thread on these forums, that their price is going to be insane, so much so, he can't even tell me. Yohan and Capitol Mitsu have told me they will be selling theirs at invoice.

So, seems like everything is looking good to me.

Well, it's pretty much a given that SC is going to have decent pricing.Â* But, we'll just have to see.

I had to work pretty hard to get my X at invoice locally...and that was with 25 sitting on the lot. Imagine 1 or 2 MRs...

True, which is why I'm just hoping Capitol gets a whole bunch. Even if they don't it won't stop me from at least trying.
