Gonna take the X in to my friend Paul @ DBTuned on Friday since I am off, just to see what this thing lays down...We had a dyno day and BBQ there back in 06, it would be cool if some people close to Sacramento would like to get together again and do it soon then maybe go for a drive up to Auburn for some spirited driving in the canyons maybe...

Anyways if you are interested in setting up a dyno day @ DBTuned in Roseville let me know...I know not everyone can make it down to the Bay all the time...

I will be there this friday to get dynoed @ 9am if anybody is off and bored lol...

Yikes, 210whp? All the Mustang Dynos I'd seen read between 225-235whp. Sheesh

We've had some low X's as well. I think the lowest has been 214whp/234wtq

And for the eleventy billionth time the speed element basically reads the same as ours. :)

Just recently we had a Evo over that put down 35Xwhp on SE's dyno and it put down 35Xwhp on ours.

unless i missed it, how many miles are on the car?

shouldn't there be some time to let the motor 'loosen up' a bit? i'm sure everythings still tight from the factory. my evo (not an X) was a dog when it was brand new. power felt like it dropped off real early when i did a few pulls up top while 'breaking it in.'

i'm sure there are many other X's that negate this point, but every car is different.

just a thought.

yeah im iffy about paul as he was rude as f**k last time i was there....and i live2 miles away in roseville.....then saw awhile back he was closed at 1pm on a wed. and had a dept. of motor vehicle repair sticker on his window like he was in some trouble......I decided to not go back because the shop before (D2 motorsports) failed and was shady torwards the end.......

Looks like Paul got his high reading dyno cal'd. In the bad ole days you would been around 250-260 whp.

He's dissapointed me before as well, but i've always thought he was extremely nice, and it's kept me still willing to go there. He didn't screw me and did what he could to make things up to me. My decision might be a different story though if he wasn't 2 hours closer than the bay area tuners.

I would definitely be down for a get together there. i've been looking for a good shop in sac that is familiar with our cars (and the like), just in case i ever need something done and can't make it down to GST. do you know what kind of other services dbtuned provides?

I've talked to Paul numerous times and had work done there once (30k). He's never been anything but nice and helpfull with me.

I talked with him once about tuning and he said he had planned on tuning evos with the cobb tuning software but he had too much trouble with it and gave it up. Said it doesn't work on evos the way it does on scoobies.

Last I heard, Paul's dyno has been recalibrated. That's why superman dyno'ed at the numbers he saw earlier in this thread.

Paul's dyno reads lower then it used too. It won't give you the dyno-jet type numbers anymore.

Were were you guys at GST dyno day this year..$40 for three pulls is a steal cheapskates.:icon_wink:
