Bought an Evo X last friday.. Can't wait for the Ecuflash to get support for the X.

I'll be buying one when that happens.

Someone school me. So this is the ECUflash tune for the GSR & MR?

Returned it to stock and traded it in.

D7: I don't believe there should be any difference in the cable, The maps could be a little different in the ECU though. No clue on that part.

How can you be on here this much and not know?Â* Open Port 2.0 (Tactrix) is the new cable that will allow a laptop to access the ECU for a tune.Â* This is a new cable and was needed since the X ECU uses a CAN interface, it's a whole different animal.Â* Think of it as comparing the old red, white, yellow AV cables with the new HDMI HD cables.Â* All that is needed now is an updated ECUflash that will allow access to the ECU with all the definitions.Â*

So in D7 speak, we have the cables, TV, and game console, we just need the game disk now to play. :P

Well looks like they removed the cable from the site.

They are still working on everything. Taking longer then they anticipated. The CAN interface plus the X ecu is a whole new breed for mitsubishi. The evo 8/9 ecu was pretty close to the ecu found in the 2g DSMs. Back in the dark ages of Evo tuning, some people where brave enough to use DSM 2g ECUs in their Evos so they could run DSM-Link.

Does the OBDII port on the X look physically similar to the OBDII port on the VIII and IX? In other words, will OpenPort 2.0 be backwards-compatible on all USDM Evos (VIII-X)?
