Picked up some Mobil 1 10-30 fully synthetic at Milpitas WalMart for $22 and some change for 5 quarts. Or $4.08 a quart. Seemed like a good price. Anyone found it any place cheaper?

Hello! Just temporary I assume, but Kragen's (at least the one on The Alameda near Race St in SJ) has a sale on Mobil-1 for 3.99 a quart...happened to be in there yesterday and saw that...picked up 2 6-quart boxes. :)

If you bought the PepBoys MADD 2005 calendar (I bought like 5 :D), it came with a coupon for "Buy 3, get 3 free". So you end up averaging about $2.50 a quart, or about about $2.76 a quart if you factor in the cost of the calendar. Coupon is good through sometime next year.

I will let the dealer do every other oil change so that it gets done every 3K.

Hmm, the coupons expire in Dec. 2005. I hope you put a lot of miles on your Evo to use them all!

Love your sig, BTW.

Good point; I guess you have more garage space than I do. :)

When searching for a new home to purchase, my wifre's criteria was centered aroung the kitchen, mine was the garage. Believe it or not, I spend almost as much time in the garage as Mrs. Wav spends in the kitchen. My next mod for the garage is going to be setting up a computer on line. I'm kind of a cross between a gear head and a nerd.

That shouldn't be hard. I have a wireless setup in mine. I can be in the garage or in the backyard and surf the internet. :D

I use the top of my roll away toollbox as a work bench and need some extra shelf space.

I kinda know what your going through. With my compressor, gas power pressure washer, drill press, hydraulic press and a B-16 motor sitting on the floor, my garage is kinda cramp.

WalMart here in Fresno. Picked up a 5 Quart container of Castrol Syntec for $19.99 to do my first oil change at 500 miles. Not too bad a price, I think. But I'm definitely going to have to investigate this Pep Boys coupon. Cuz that is damn cheap at $2.50 a pop. Im not one for anything other than Castrol, but it is recommended and with the coupon, is a must.

I literally jumped out of my seat and ran over to PEPBOYS. They had some calendars left so I picked up 5 of em'. Good lookin' out guys. That coupon saves some major cash in the long run. I'm gonna go get more calendars tommorrow. I Change my oil frequently so this helps BIG TIME!!

Good price on the Mobil One.....unfortunately, Walmart will never get a dime from me,as long as they keep workers in poverty just to turn a buck.

Can someone tell me where I can buy these special calendars? :D I was gonna post up about the Costco "deal" tonight, but apparently, it's not THAT great of a deal. I should go back and return the 2 cases if I can find these calendars.

The calendar is sold out by now. I picked up 12 calendars for myself and stocked up. I have a crapload of Rain-X car wash and Wax-As-U-Dry stuff too. :D

The long term effect is that you may get oil leaking out slowly. :P

Is there still one on the drain plug? Personally, I wouldn't risk my engine on a $1.25 part

WORKS always uses 10W-30 in our customers' cars as well as our own. You might want the 5W-30 in colder climates, but I wouldn't recommend it around here.

Oil may seep out slowly. Just keep an eye out on your oil levels.

The crush washer conforms to the drain plug and oil pan (by getting crushed) and creates a tight seal. Without it you might have to overtorque the oil drain plug to get a good seal which could damage both it and the oil pan.
