Fitments for the Evo would be 255/40-17 (preferrably on 17x8.5" rims, but should fit the stock rims), 245/45-17 (a bit taller than the OEM tires), 245/40-18, 255/35-18. I may throw some 255/40-17s on the stock rims after my current Azenis Sports wear out... But since I'm no longer autox'ing on street tires, I may opt for something a bit more balanced like the Kumho MX.

What tire size would be best for daily driving and occasional auto'xing. This would be for OEM wheels 17" x 8.0"
Thanks

Unfortunately they don't have stock size; I'd recommend 245/47-17 or 255/40-17. 245/45-17 ig going to be slightly wider diameter than the stock tires--effectively raising your car by about 1/4" and making your gear ratios a tiny bit taller, hurting acceleration ever so slightly (doubt you'd notice a difference except at the drag strip) but also improving your fuel economy (ever so slightly). I currently have the 245/45-17 RT-215s. 255/40-17 works better in this regard as it almost exactly matches the stock diameter, but 255s are going to be slightly pinched on the stock rims, resulting in suboptimal sidewall performance. I'd be tempted to try 255/40-17s myself...

The stock size will be coming soon, it's just not avalable yet.
When my street tires run out, I'm definitely going for these.

seems like these would wear out fast with a treadwear rating of 200, not sure what the was on the Advans. although they look like they would pickup the road.

The Advans have a UTQG rating of 160, so the Falkens should wear a bit better (if you believe the ratings are consistent). If the RT-615s are like the RT-215s, I'd say they wear about the same.

Just an FYI,
I've run the old Azenis Sports (205-50-15) on 15X7 rims for my Integra Type R. The Falkens are a bit wider than their indicated widths. When I measured the actual width, it was closer to about 220mm across.

So if you're interested in running the 255s, it would definitely be a good idea to go at least to an 8.5 inch rim...YMMV.

Eddie.

Agreed. I have 245s on the stock rims and they're okay, but I wouldn't recommend 255s on 8" rims.

Is there any update on this? My stock Advans are getting close to their last days and the new AZENIS RT-615's have been recommended to me by a few people.

I'm running 255 RA1's on stock rims. Little sidewall flop but work fine.

Falkens have MUCH stiffer sidewalls then RA1's so there should be no problem at all.

Just checked the pricing, $155, ouch. They raised the prices on the new ones didn't they.

$155 is a bargain when comparing to the stock Yokos.
