does anyone have the XT Software i can borrow. i tried downloading it online and i still cant view my pictures on my laptop. Can anyone help me out.
thanks
I have it, but... what do you need it for? I've never even HEARD of anyone who uses the Canon software. Can't you use Picasa/iphoto/Aperture/Lightroom? When you plug the camera in, it should just show up as a drive. But if you use a card reader, it'll download pictures a lot faster.

Do you have a regular old CF card reader? Never heard of anyone needing to install any drivers to load their pics.
^^ I second the card reader. My monitor has one built in, but there are a ton of them out there for $8-20. They're much faster than the camera interface will be anyway.

another thing that might be a good idea is getting a multi card reader. With the new XSI doing so well largly in part because of it using a sd card instead of a cf card, I wouldn't be suprised if a lot of Dslr's started going that route.

once you have taken all yuor pics off the card.. try formatting it in your camera and see if that does anything.. I had a newer sandisk give me a error code untill I formated it and now its fine.
