Ok, so I've been throwing around the idea of getting new shoes for my baby. There is one particular Enkei model wheel that I would really like to get, but I am having a hard time figuring out which size and offset to use.

If anyone out there could help me, that would be great...I am somewhat confused how to figure this out. I should also note that my car is lowered with S-Tech springs. I don't want to roll the fenders, and of course the wheel needs to clear the Brembo's.

Size: 17x7
1. 5x112/114.3 Offset:35
2. 5x100/114.3 Offset:35
3. 5x100/114.3 Offset:42

Size: 18x7.5
1. 5x112/114.3 Offset: 35
2. 5x100/114.3 Offset: 35
3. 5x100/114.3 Offset: 45

I also know that I will be downgrading a little in width size. Is this OK, or should I find a wheel that is at least stock width?

Thanks again in advance!

Kim

7.5 should be fine for day-to-day use, though personally I wouldn't go narrower than stock. Aim for an offset around 35 (30-40 should be okay); it's when you start to go wider than OEM that you have to be more careful about offset.

225-wide tires are the right size for 7.5-wide wheels; 235 should fit okay as well though you want to pay attention to the sidewall angles; pinched or stretched sidewalls will hurt handling.

Thanks Tam! You are always a big help :)

If Cal can get the SA90's (17x8) in Gunmetal color, I might go with those instead.

you have other sizes available then what you have posted. check out enkies official web site.
also for track wheels i use the RPF1's since they only weight near 16.5lbs each.
im currently running 17x8.5 +40 off set with a 255/40/17's , if you want to play it safe you can run a 245/40/17 tire and it will clear with no problems.

Yup, that's exactly what I did. The Enkei official website gives three sizes for the wheel I want (RS7, anthracite.) I didn't bother posting the 19x7.5 because I don't want to go with that big of a wheel.

I'm just worried becuase If I go with this wheel, I was told by one company that I will need longer studs and spacers. Other people have told me that the fitment will be fine.

Ok, well, I just called two other places about the fitment for the Enkei's...I was told they will not fit.

Also, I just called Gruppe-S about the SA 90's in Gunmetal. They can't order custom colors. I will post this in the appropriate thread also.

SO, It looks like I should have stayed with my original choice to begin with....Good ole Rota Torques. Anyone have a set in Black or Gunmetal that they want to sell?

Thanks for everyone's help!

I'm also running the RPF-1's but at 17x8 +40 with my stock Advans with no probs.
