Just registered yesterday. Heres a shot of my new baby, shes only a week old. *Tear*Sniffle* By the way, I have a question for yous guys. I tried putting a MAF adapter and intake filter on the Evo. I let it idle for about 10-15 min. Yes I made sure that the MAF plug was in. It didnt work. When I floored it the engine pulled a little and it kind of stuttered through the RPM's. A short while later the "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" light came on. Definitely slower than with the stock air box. What is the problem? Do I have to tune it when adding an intake. Im sure yous guys know more about these things than I do and any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!!!

That is hot. Seriously, don't get an intake. Bad for the evo, It sounds nice, but the sound is no reason to sacrifice performance. The stock box is suprisingly efficient for the car. Maybe if your evo is crazy, and "raced out" (Not to be confused with riced out" then it might need more air. Congrats on the evo, and I agree, we need some more pics of it.

Nice color. And don't put an intake on the evo, get a drop in filter from K&N, Ralliart, or wait for Works to come out with theirs. The stock air box is made to handle up to about 350 whp efficiently(from what I have heard). Anyways, we need more pictures.

after market intakes are not bad, but defenetly not your first mod on the car. you can purchase and add hp other ways then with an intake, also you dont have too have a stand alone in order to have an intake that shows gains in hp, as long as you have other mods done to the car and it has been properly tune for.

Yeah, as soon as the light went on I changed back to the stock air box. But for those 15 min., the car sounded awesome. Necks were snappin left and right, fingers pointing, it was funny. But yeah, no intakes for me yet. I will try to get more pics up. It rained today so now I have to wash her again before I can shoot em. I'll try to take it up to Table Mountain Casino and get some shots in the Togue up there, ha!! Its a great drive!! Thanks for all the comments.

sweet! another blue one to the list. drop in filters will do the job. open air intakes are not bad. it's a case by case type of deal. some Evo's react and some don't. some peeps on here dyno'd with gain a few, lose a few kind of results on hp and trq.
