Y0u are officially the FIRST to know of this event. I don't even have the final contract from the track so I don't know what The costs to you will be. Just figure close to last years winter day. For those that have not played with us before just search for us. For those that have, step up and be heard. Register on our chapter website www.ggvcoa.org by clicking on the event on the calendar.

As an aside I changed jobs recently. I am now over at www.theracersgroup.com check us out if you know someone w/ Porsche needing parts or service. I work in the parts dept and also R&D. We (our department) has our own car to take out to track events and will hopefully have it up for this one. We sell Pagid brake pads and other things so hit me up. work e-mail is [email protected]

I've got about 20 spots left. Sign up soon.

BTW I can always use help at the event. If you don't want to run your car but would like to help out that would be awesome. I can help teach you how to run an event like these at a much lower cost. Shoot me an e-mail (or sign up on the site) and note that you want to help out.

Scott @ VCOA,

Why are guys deciding to run a chicane on the main straight? Is there a reason for this?

planglie
12-14-2008, 07:26 PM
Don't worry about the chicane.......they have not had a chicane in place for at least 2 maybe 3 years......they just haven't cleaned up there old information.

Been running w/them for over 4 yrs. now and it is a very enjoyable day!

Tires will warm up very slowly.
1st session might have black ice.

look at the dry spots - where everyone goes and pick up the water.
Stay off of berm.
Avoid run offs, especially going off sideway - very high chance that the mud will trap the sdie of the car and flip the car.

Work on the wet lines, and work your speed up.

All sums up to - go slower, go with more caution.

Thanks Rob. Now i just checked again, its partly cloudy. But, it is still going to be a cold cold track so caution is still there.

Video of last session. Pretty consistent. Take note of debris on inside of some of the turns, couldnt really apex same place normally. Lots of fade, brake pedal through floor last few turns, pitted in.

Enjoy.
