Thats right, the wires have arrived.

Lets segragrate it into 2 groups. Sac guys and Bay Area. Post up on a convenient time where we can meet up and I'll distribute the wires.

My schedule's actually open up until the 20th, so I could pick it up at the meet at the latest...

no worries, next sunday march 13th i will be in cupertino for a day. Is that a bit too far for the bay area folks to meet up? I'm thinking Starbucks.... still have to figure out a time though.

:idea: Could you drop off a bunch of wires with someone down here? I'll volunteer since I'm gonna be around the house all day; and I'll bring any that don't get picked up to the meet next weekend.

i just talked to Tam and i'm meeting up with him at 9:30 am at starbucks in cupertion.

stevens creek and de anza blvd. I'll drop the wires off for him and he can distribute them.

Sure, come on by, I'll probably stick around for a while, maybe until 10:30 or until I get bored, whichever comes first. (Luckily I don't get bored easily. ;))

I'll be around the house most of the day tomorrow, and I'm usually at home most evenings (after 8 pm) and mornings (before 9 am) so if you'd like to pick them up before next week's meet, PM me and I'll send you my address and phone #.

All right, I have the wires for people not getting theirs shipped and not in the Sac area. I've PM'ed you with information about my location and contact info. Please don't ask me if you can buy one now, or if there's an extra set, etc... My answer will either be "no" or "ask Nebo".

Install was very straightforward; SJCoruja and I did ours in the parking lot at Starbucks. (I installed new sparkplugs at the same time.) Takes about 5 minutes (not including the sparkplugs).

I measured the resistance of the stock wires; mine read 2.7 (short wire) and 5.7 (long wire) kOhms. The Magnecor wires read 0.9 and 2.2 kOhms, respectively. The service manual (page 16-34) says to replace the wires if the resistance is greater than 19 kOhms, so both sets are still well within spec (my stock wires have about 28k miles on them).

According to David Buschur the wires are good for a couple whp, and even assuming that's the case, I think anybody who tells you they can actually feel that small a difference is fooling you and/or fooling themselves. So no, I can't feel any difference... but fitment was good and the wires look of very high quality, so I'm happy with my purchase.

Thanks to eddy for setting up the group buy and thanks to tam for being the first guinea pig ...err i mean tester ;) for the wires.we just had to step back a bit when tam started his car just to make sure nothing flies out the engine bay :wink: :lol: nice to meet tweeker and sjcoruja there also and the silver sti guy.
imma install mine later when the engine cools down since i just got home right now 8)

Install is very easy, I put them in when I got to work today since I didn't have time after watching tam, and sjcoruna do it. Thanks nebolic, and tam! Also, it does feel very... Jiggly when it sit's on the spark plug, but it's in there. It even says in the intructions that it won't feel like stock. I also don't feel any difference, but I'm happy with my purchase.
