Well first off let me say sorry for the noob question.

I can't seem to find any info on this cat-back(JIC Spartan DE Type 2). I wanted to know if it is louder than the Cobb cat-back? I ask because I like the look of the JIC(No angled muffler), looks to be the most stock looking FULL 3INCH model out there(If painted black of course). Any info would be great.

I'm guessing that they should have the same db level. Same muffler design and both sport resonators..

+1. Also depends if your gonna run a test pipe, stock cat or high-flow cat.

Yeah I had the same feeling but wanted to check. What about their slip fit design any problems?

^I would get the slip fit welded, my cousin had a JIC exhaust for another car and that slip fit design was crap.

is that a picture of the actual product? i ask because it has an o2 bung on it. does it include a cat delete?

The VIII's have the O2 sensor in the intermediate pipe after the cat. The IX's have the O2 sensor on the cat itself. So if you wanted to do a catback on a IX while keeping the stock cat like I did, then you have to plug that bung with a bolt. If you have an VIII you don't have to do anything just swap the catback and O2 from one exhaust to the other.

I have 3'' Blitz NurSpec fit like a oem, all you'll see from the rear is the tip.
you can't really tell its aftermarket tbe.

I think the Blitz is very loud right? I just want the look of a oval muffler because I like to go to the Canyons and hike . Plus I think if I have a small chance of getting out of a ticket, oval muffler is better. Also Oval is usually quieter.
