the mr bov would definiely hold more boost compared to our plastic stock ones.as for the sound its pretty quiet but youll hear it on wot shifts with the window open and the stereo turned off :D

most aftermarket bovs will hold more boost than the stock one...but the MR bov is alot cheaper than other bovs...

The MR valve is capable of holding more boost due in part to its stronger spring. The stock one gives up at 23 PSI, but may start leaking at lower levels over time as the plastic may begin to wear. Both sound about the same when on the car.

Thanks for the professional advice, Jamie. :)

I just have one quick question, does MR DV have any rubber or nylon seal inside to prevent leaking? Because stock one has plastic-to-plastic interface, and does not have any seal.

I also kinda worried whether stronger spring might cause some compressor surge.

Please give your comments! Thanks!

doesn't have any compressor surge on my car, this is 1 of the best upgrade for the Evo :)

I never thought I would miss the psssshhhhhttt so much. I had a Mopar BOV on my SRT-4 then replaced it with a stronger Forge BOV when I pumped up the boost with stage 2. Now my Evo seems so quiet. :(

I'm thinking about the MR JDM BOV because I've heard it's relatively cheap and not too loud, but I'm wondering if it blows off under vacuum. Can anybody confirm this for me. One thing I don't miss is that old SRT-4 blowing off even when I was driving around conservatively.
