That's basically an evo. It has everything the evo has including the seats, HID, stereo upgrade. You're trading off 35hp, wheels, and brakes, for the MR tranny.

Oh and price is MSRP, the $30K for the evo are pretty much invoice. I honestly don't know what Mitsu was thinking though putting the auto tranny in the Ralliart. If they would have put a five speed in it to lower the price, the ralliart would be a much more interesting proposition.

What Evo has over the Ralliart:

brembos, wider stance / flared fenders , more potential (larger turbo, FMIC, etc stock), S-AYC, aluminum roof, aluminum front fenders, aluminum suspension arms, recaros standard, wider / lighter wheels, better tires

Again, if the RA was mid 20's it would be a killer buy. It is 26.5k or so base so let's see what it is once people are getting it under MSRP in a few months when they sit on the lots.

whats msrp on the gsr right now? 32,990 -mitsu's website, $33,655 according to southcoast? and they cheapest you can get it is from capital and southcoast for 29k? so i wonder if they plan to blow them out way under msrp like they are trying to do now with the evo x. i think its that high due to the transmission, and being brand new. like how some "other dealers" were charging 10k markups on base gsr's.

They put in the transmission that fit ;) Unfortunately, its cost adds around $5000 to that sticker. Getting the 5-speed between the Lancer frame rails is possible (with some cutting and welding), but it's going to take a design/tooling change at the plant to make it feasible on the open market.

That's what I've been saying all along. Finally more & more are questioning this. Yer getting not much for that MSRP, which could be maked up another few grand.
