Does anyone know if its simple to remove the entire emblem on the front of the evo so its just the grill. I see the screw but it looks hard to reach. i should have done it when the bumper was off being repaired.

you need the bumper off. and youll end up with a hole in the mesh.

Thanks for info. Probably more trouble than it's worth and I dont want a hole in the mesh. I like the way it looks though. Thanks again.

Thanks for the link. Sounds like a process so I will have to debate with myself if its worth the time and risk of messing anything up.

You dont need to remove your bumper. Pull out the bumper tabs up top by the radiator and pull the top of the bumper back. you now have enough room to stick you arm in there and unscrew the 2 screws with a short screwdriver on the back of the emblem. takes no more than 5 minutes.

put it this way, it's less body work after w/ the IX's. I would have to fill in the plastic gap then get it re-painted, or hack that shit out the center of the grill, make it open mesh, get some plastic molding done to fill the hole,re-paint blah, blah, blah. Even w/ your badge off, you could change the mesh to look clean cheaper.
