This General Motors event looks similar to Mazda's Rev It Up events, where you get to test drive a vehicle doing some autocross-lite.

--

AutoShow in Motion is your opportunity to test-drive any of over 150 of the "hottest" cars, trucks and SUVs on the planet.

OVER 150 VEHICLES
ONE PHENOMENAL TEST-DRIVE EVENT
Strap yourself into a Corvette®. Grab the wheel. Hit the accelerator. Take it for a spin. And do it again in a HUMMER® H2®. And again in the all-new Pontiac® GTO®.

Whatever type of vehicle you may want to get into next, we'll have them all right here - so you can find out which suits you best. From some of the world's most powerful sports cars, sport utilities, and luxury sedans to the most versatile family cars and trucks, you'll get a chance to drive them all!*

DOING IT ALL AT YOUR OWN SPEED
At AutoShow in Motion, nothing will get in between you and the vehicle, which means the only pressure you'll experience, is deciding which closed-circuit track to try first. At the end of it all, you'll be able to compare experiences and make up your own mind about which vehicle suits you best - without any pressure to buy. Of course, should you have any questions, you can always ask any of the automotive product specialists on hand.

FUN FILLED DAY FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
We've planned this event for your driving pleasure, but feel free to bring the entire family. Driving sessions will be run all day long - rain or shine - and so will a variety of fun activities. We'll even provide complimentary snacks, beverages and parking.

Anybody care to try some "emergency lane-change" maneuvers in a high-center-of-gravity SUV?

just got back from the Show, it was over all pretty good except for the rain, food and drink were provided and is free, took the new Corvette for a test drive but the course is just too short, got done in less then 20second.. but I still got it up to 50-60mph, and I think that my Evo is still stonger then the new Corvette except for the 500hp ZO6 which they don't have over there

I have been there last year, and I enjoyed it. But due to rain, I didn't go there even I got an invitation. :(

I thought the event was just OK. It wasn't nearly as great as the Mazda event last year, as the courses were just not imaginative enough. Every course, except for the large SUV one, was basically just driving around a big circle with at most one (small) S curve. I had a little fun in the H2 course, and really enjoyed the Corvette. I had a little trouble getting used to the clutch since it's so light. In my opinion, my Evo has a long way to go to have the kind of power in the new Corvette. I couldn't believe how hard it pulled... but then again, my Evo is almost stock, so who knows how it'll be once I do the exhaust, cams, etc. :)

Anyone signing up for the upcoming Mercedes M Class Tour?

That's why you pay money for the Mazda event, and pay nothing for the GM event. :) I have been to both last year.
