Looking for a set for aftermarket rims.

Is there a way to disable the warning if you dont run the sensors?

Supposedly you can pull the ones from your stock rims and put them in your aftermarket rims. I hear around that the computer needs to "learn your sensors" using a tool that most tire shops have that costs about $1k. Also the ecu can only store 4 sensors at any time, meaning if you have 2 sets of rims, you can't just swap rims without reprogramming.

All you can do is hold the info button for 2 seconds to clear it from the main screen. The other light will always be on.

I'm just going to run without sensors in my winter rims.

glad to be getting my sensors back soon. The light is very annoying...it pop up everytime you open your door and have to press/hold the button everytime that happen

Oh and those sensors aint cheap either

I migrated my TPMS sensors to my Work wheels...went on without any problems. If you're planning to run a set of aftermarket rims daily, the sensors "should" fit. I think Nebo had issues with his 5Zigens if I'm not mistaken.

yeah im running without the sensors cuz jackoff yohan has them and still haven't given them back to me.

i dont know if the tps sensors affect the ayc or anything cause cant find info on it but sometimes when i downshift from 5th to 4th and floor it going up a hill, my asc warning light goes off.

maybe someone can do some digging, but overall i dont think the sensors should trip out the ayc.

Doc, like I've been telling you.. you should just go buy a set of new sensors and put them on the new wheels that you want to buy.

Keep your stock wheels/tires for emergency use.

The only thing about the sensors is like someone said they aren't cheap. nissan sensors run close to $100 each I'm sure mitsu would be in the same range..

i don't need a system telling me when my tires are low. Just do without them.

You can thank all the idiots in FL overturning their Explorers and the knee-jerk reaction government for your misery now...

They probably use a tool similar to this:
http://www.bartecusa.com/wheelrite_tech400.htm

Unfortunately they are usually >$700

so what happens when you dont ahve the tpms on, and run it on the X, will it gives some warning that you can turn off, and will it affects any part of the car electronics, such as ayc, etc

a TPMS warning shows on the dash and to remove it you must hold the info button for 3s. It's just a required by law thing, SAWC doesn't use it.

Does anyone know if the tpms is specific to this car, or if units are universal. Only reason I ask is because I have some from my old RX8 that I can sell to someone who may need it for dirt cheap.
