This how to is for cams and gears. Can somebody tell me if you need the engine at top dead center to just change cam gears? Seems to me as long as you get them back in the same spot they dont need to be at tdc. Saves me from pulling the spark plugs and turning the engine over.

Wityh the timing cover off you can find TDC the right way. BE VERY CAREFUL AS A FEW TEETH CAN FUCK UP THE ENGINE!!

But I can swap out the cam gears if i'm care full to mark where the "zero" tooth goes, with out cranking the engine to tdc?

So you are not planning on taking the belt completely off?
