Super long exposure... Damn shooting star going through it pissed me off so I ended the exposure. My friend got one that was like 30min and it turned out bad ass.

Yeah true that. Only problem is, is to load them on the internet you would need to go buy more pre pay minutes. :icon_boxing:

Diggin the whole set, but your boat shot is just floating, I wish it had some sort of a foreground or background.

Also you should play with your white balance on #3 (star/boat shot).

Nice pix stevo.....you thought it was a waste of time to go out there though?....i really like that area. did you drive around the area at all, or hike? Must have been pretty windy and cold out there.....hahaha

it was REALLY cold... The reason there's no foreground is cause I didn't have enough strobes to light it.. In all actuallity it would have been very hard to anyways since the ground there looks like shit and there's a big drop off with water in it just in front of the boat I had to shoot across.

As for the white balance, looking at it now makes me also think it should be changed but it's pretty realistic for the tone that was there at the time. Plus it's a really long exposure(10+ min) and I try not to alter them too much, it gives it a different feel then if made it what you would think it looked like at the time.. Well at the time you couldn't even see the boat from where I was shooting lol. I had to take test shots just to see where it was.. Two strobes full power lol.

Well it was about 3-4hrs worth of driving to get some so-so shots. The area is kinda nice but the weather was crap. Real hazy and a ton of wind. It was also 32deg at that boat and pitch black, all we had was my iPhone for light and not enough strobes to do what I wanted to with the boat. Plus the point was to get shots of the lighthouse at sunset, and I didn't get a single decent shot of it. I have a very very sturdy tripod and the wind was so crazy all my slower speed stuff was garbage.

Gorgeous shots. Lovin' numero 1 and 3.

3 is a trip with the stars in the circular formation.
