nice dave, any chance your camera has spot metering? If so spot meter the flower when you use flash. I was playing with mine on our flowers the other day and it was pretty cool. One of the only times I use spot metering actually.

nice dave, any chance your camera has spot metering? If so spot meter the flower when you use flash. I was playing with mine on our flowers the other day and it was pretty cool. One of the only times I use spot metering actually.

I use spot metering from time to time but last night I believe I had it set to matrix metering. The flower pic was kind of blown out. I shot it with RAW+jpg basic. This was the jpg basic version slightly tweaked. I still have the virgin RAW copy too. Thanks for the tip :icon_smile:

Oops. I think the one with the light count might be from another house in Livermore on Hillcrest Ave. Very impressive display too.

I just picked a slightly better tripod last night. My old tripod was getting flimsy and it was always a PITA to break it down and the release for the camera mount was stiff as hell! It's not the best tripod on the market but a much needed improvement for me. Here are some more shots for my project at work. Merry Christmas!

Last batch for today. I noticed when attaching images is that they are compressed and there is a loss in some detail. Still a neat feature. Cheers!
