Hello all,

I was wondering if I could get a dent out of a stainless steel exhaust pipe. It's a straight section of pipe near the opening. Just look at the pics to see what I'm talking about.

That won't effect anything, other than looks, even then it'll be under the car for no1 to see. I wouldn't even bother with the trouble.

^ +1, I doubt that you'll lose hp with that. I know you probably got that feeling that it's there, but it's under the car and nobody will see it.

If you really want to fix it, just take it to a muffler shop and have them cut the bad piece off and weld a new one on...

I figured that flow won't be affected, but if there was an easy fix then I was going to do it.

Easiest way I could think of (which really isn't that easy) would be to find another pipe that fits nicely inside. Heat your exhaust to cherry red than insert the pipe inside to stretch your exhuast pipe back round.

Muffler shops have pipe expanders that work on that pipe. It's probably more trouble than it's worth tho.

The old Midas commercials came to mind when I thought of pipe expanders.
