I was thinking we should put down whatever sites we down into one thread? Iono. If people are willing to share I'll update the first post accordingly.

Since this is the Equipment section we could do... Canon Equipment, Nikon Equipment, Camera Storage, Techniques, etc.
Canon

Canon Digital USA, Inc. - http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ProductCatIndex1Act&fcategoryid=101 - Main website for Canon Digital Imaging products.
Canon Lens Photo Archive (real life lens samples) - http://photography-on-the.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=107 - Lens examples from various Canon lenses in real life scenarios/situations.
Canon Gear and Misc Reviews - http://the-digital-picture.com/Default.aspx

Nikon

Nikon Digital USA, Inc. - http://www.nikonusa.com/Find-Your-Nikon/Digital-SLR/index.page - Main website for Nikon Digital Imaging products.
ByThom Nikon Gear - http://www.bythom.com/nikon.htm - All encompassing page on Nikon gear from Film to the Digital Age. Includes lenses, bodies, flashes and aftermarket products alike. (Thanks Cire)

Camera Tutorials

Nikon Cameras - For most of Nikon's DSLR line up there's a featured tutorial for each camera on each of their dedicated pages.

Example: D90

Click on the D90 link > There is a scroll tabe along the bottom of the camera > The last image is labeled "Digitutor" - Clicking this will bring you to a new page with an online tutorial on the basic functions of the camera, how they work and how to use them. (For most of the Nikon DSLR Line up)

Canon Cameras - Introduction to DSLRs by Canon Inc. - http://web.canon.jp/imaging/enjoydslr/index.html -

Equipment Guides/Reviews:

General Gear (Bodies, Lenses, etc.)

Fred Miranda Reviews - http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/ - General gear reviews relevant to all brands from bodies, lenses to flashes and more.
Digital Photo Review - http://dpreview.com/ - Very active community and staff which reviews camera gear from PnS to DSLRs. Encompasses all makes and models released.

Bags/Storage

Cambags.com - http://www.cambags.com/camera_mainpage.htm - Compilation of photobags organized by Camera, Bag Brand, and Size. Features photos of how cameras fit into bags with equipment and Good starting place if you're lost amongst the vast selection. *note* does not have ALL bags (ie. Dakine) but most major brands (ie. Crumpler, Domke, and Kata)

Forums/Blogs

Photography on the Net - http://www.photography-on-the.net (http://www.photography-on-the.net/) - A Canon based community which features a treasure trove of information for both Canon and Nikon owners alike (mostly for Canon owners obviously). Features many photographers from novice to pro and all members are very helpful.
Nikon Cafe - http://www.nikoncafe.com (http://www.nikoncafe.com/) - This forum is a Nikon based community and a tad smaller but very packed with information. Very welcoming community. Willing to help when asked.
Nikonians Forum - www.nikonians.com (http://www.norcalevo.net/www.nikonians.com) - Another Nikon based community. Helpful members and a good all around read on gear as well as buy/selling.
Strobist Blog - http://www.strobist.blogspot.com/ - One of the best online sources for ideas and information of using off-camera flashes.
Ken Rockwell - www.kenrockwell.com (http://www.norcalevo.net/www.kenrockwell.com) - Personally run blog by K. Rockwell which is up to date news on all things Nikon. Reviews bodies, lenses, and some older camera equipment (sometimes not Nikon brand). Has tutorials for Nikon Gear such as CSL (Integrated Wireless) etc. :)

Equipment Shopping

Online

B&H Photo - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/ - Probably one of the best photo/video equipment store online. Very legit site. One of the Highest Rated Google Vendors for Photography/Video. Main store is located in NYC. Prompt with shipping (personal experience). The best feature on the site is the equipment rating system. Past owners rate their product and how well it performs, and based on their current level of photography (amateur, enthusiast, semipro, etc.)
Adorama Photo - http://www.adorama.com/ - Another favorite. Adorama features a comprehensive stockroom. Prices are fair and if you can't find it on B&H you'll probably find it here (or vice versa).
[BoostOnHand] Best sites I've bought GEAR from:
- Buydig.com (http://www.norcalevo.net/www.buydig.com) [sister site to Beachcamera.com]
- Beachcamera.com (http://www.norcalevo.net/www.BeachCamera.com)
- Amazon.com (http://www.norcalevo.net/www.Amazon.com)
- Newegg.com (http://www.norcalevo.net/www.NewEgg.com)
- JR.com (http://www.norcalevo.net/www.JR.com)
- NormanCamera.com (http://www.norcalevo.net/www.NormanCamera.com)
- FlashZebra.com (http://www.norcalevo.net/www.FlashZebra.com) [strobist/lighting cables]
- Fredmiranda.com (http://www.norcalevo.net/www.FredMiranda.com) [used gear]
- Soocool.com (http://www.norcalevo.net/www.SooCool.com) [Bay Area site, used gear]
- Resellersratings.com (http://www.norcalevo.net/www.ResellersRatings.com) [Helps figure out if a reseller is Trustworthy or Crap]
- Borrowlenses.com (http://www.norcalevo.net/www.BorrowLenses.com) [Rentals Only! (located in San Mateo)]

Bay Area

Keeble and Schuchat Photo. (a.k.a. KSP) - http://www.kspphoto.com/activepages/main.html - A local camera store located in Palo Alto offers intelligible service and two buildings to meet the needs of their customers. (Highly recommended from others. Haven't been there personally)

Image Hosting (free and fees)

Smugmug - Fee - www.smugmug.com (http://www.norcalevo.net/www.smugmug.com) - Organized galleries and professional feel. Accurate color duplication and allows unlimited uploading on all still imaging (Videos max upload size is 512MB). Starting is ~$40/year (basic); Power $65/year; Pro ~$150/year. Obviously as you go up the tier you get more options and freedom with your account. Highly Recommended (personal experience - Ryan)
Flickr - Free - www.flickr.com (http://www.norcalevo.net/www.flickr.com) - Free webhosting site. Very accurate color duplication and little to no compression. Allows user to set profile settings, security preferences, and maximum sizing allowed. Also has a subscriber Pro account which allows more functions. Unsure if accounts can upload video yet as I haven't used mine. But... Also Highly Recommended.

Misc

Model Mayhem - www.modelmayhem.com (http://www.norcalevo.net/www.modelmayhem.com) - "for anyone interested in shooting people in pretty much any form. glamour, nude, fetish, pinup etc. Pretty cool site just to see who's modeling in your area as well." -Stevo8

I know there are more companies and all but I don't know how they work (Sony Alphas, Samsungs, Olympus E's, etc.) If anyone owns these and wants to post up following somewhat to my outline I'll gladly add it to the first post. :)

I think the strobist blog should be added. Hands down the most interesting photography site I have come across.

+1, strobist is the shits.

I don't have a specific to link. But a lot of the times, flickr groups are set up to certain techniques or styles. For example, there are Camera make specific, strobist flickr, HDR, motorsports, etc... They are public and searchable to find certain techniques or inspiration. Some are very helpful.

This is definitely not cheap, but good info on tripods. Thom Hogan also has a lot of reviews and also books relating to Nikon gear. I have his guide to the D300, has every little detail broken down.

haha thanks guys. I was getting around to adding more sites like Strobist but I went to my uncle's house to watch today's Niner game on TIVO. haha sorry. :P

Chuck:
uhh... Iono about starter tripods... haha I've pretty much broke every $20 tripod I touched. :x I haven't played with enough equipment to actually tell you what's good and what's bad.. :( sorry. Anyone else have input??

[edit]
I found this on B&H by selecting a few of the filters. I think my friend has one of these but I'm not sure as I haven't seen the tripod in a few months.
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/104984-REG/Slik_615_310_Able_300DX_Tripod.html

It's a Slik so it's pretty good. I don't have personal experience using it but that's what I found which was moderately priced and came with a head already on it. hope that helps. :)
