I need your guys advice on suspension. Does anyone know anything about the HKS hipermax 2 or the Tien Flexs? For example the ride quality. Im planning to buy one of these coilovers by the end of the month and i just wanted your guys opinions. Or would you recomend a different coilover. There basically going to be used for street driving and the occational track day. if u guys can help me out that would be great

for street those ones are fine. on the track they might suck ass, but since you dont seem to be interested in going all the time you'll be ok.

Just make sure these are atleast a Monotube design as this will give you the best dampening atleast for what you're paying

Methods4 has the Tein Flex with different spring rates, he seems to like them so far. Well, until I kept up with him with stock MR suspension.

I have only experienced the TEIN Flex on the street and found them to be a little more harsh than stock. Feedback from others imply they do pretty well on-track. Wilson can shed some more light on the subject considering he has them on his yellow car :)

They are harsher than the FLEX's. I think the street ride of the FLEX's are pretty good. Ask Methods4, he has FLEX's on his 03 evo.

holla87disEvo,

The Teinflexes are a really good choice if you get it with the EDFC as you can vary the damping rate, so, even though the spring rates are higher than stock, you can adjust the damping rate so the ride is more comfortable on the streets than the stock.
In combination with the Works rear swaybar, it also handles very well on the track, and if adjusted correctly, oversteer can be induce rather easily.
If you want some sort of different springrates, i would suggest talking to Jamie @Works as they can custom tuned the Teinflex for you.

Not exactly sure what "muellerized" mean.

But if you plan on buying a set of coilovers for track use, make sure you get the car corner weighted and balanced along w/ a proper alignment, then you will be ok.

if you plan on just driving around town w/ the coilovers, my suggestion is go w/ the HKS Hipermax RS.
