Hello ladies and gentlemen 2009 is here and the drag racing season is upon us whether you frequent the 1320 or hit up the strip just once in a while. I thought I'd carry over a Quickest and Fastest list for 2009 to display our Evo's speed and the potential of the driver's to harness it. It's going to be an exciting year as now there are many contenders for these top spots, lets keep it clean and competitive guy's. I encourage you to post up your time slips and I hope many of you will participate. Thank you : )

Well i won't be one to comlain about cold/wet weather around here i like it like that especially up in the mountains!

I'll make an occasional trip to Infineon this year but i don't think they took too kindly to running in the 10's at over 130mph last year so i'll be cautious as to when i go there until the cage goes in.

I'll be in Tahoe Wed getting some laps in at Sierra At Tahoe before it really warms up and the season ends.

As the weather turns drier/warmer :bigglasses: i thin kmore people will be posting slips............i know i will :icon_drivingskid:

First time at the track in my Evo and first time tuning with E-85 http://evoempire.org/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif . There's alot left in her, so I'm very happy with it right now. I knew I should have made time to put the Halman MBC on it to hold more boost, but it's all good. The car cut consistant 1.7 60' times on all season tires and bad track prep.

Great job T.......now all you gotta do is throw some BFG 17" DR's on that and up the launch rpm and you should see some 11.50's for sure also if you can get the NLTS working well that mph should come up to the hi teens!

Will had me drive the car. We drove the car 4 hours in stop and go traffic up to Sacramento. The car has full interior, factory rims and tires, power steering and AC

We had the trans sent to shep last year for the "Ultimate Evo Trans Build" and put in the Evo 8 3rd and 4th gears but... I guess they never made it into the transmission since the car ran out of 4th gear @ 140ish around the 1000' and coasted the last 2-300' in with the 10.9 @ 130+. I bounced off the rev limit a bit too long. Top of 4th 9500 @ 40+psi and then missed 5th and possibly damaged something. We hope to have the car back up by the end of this month but we have to work out the transmission issue with Shep.

Yup.

I believe it made around 450 and vince would have to let ya know the A/R.

He has 3 issues if you watch the vid you can see them all.

- 18" wheels and hard tires
- Suspension settings too stiff
- Not enough vehicle speed when shifting to 2nd after spinning through 1st dropping him out of boost.

Not to mention he's limited by rpm as we have noticed he gets valve float around 7500 rpm.........Supertech stuff is waiting for him at the shop ;)

Vince is still newbish to the whole drag thing at the track so he needs to practice and make a few changes to his set-up if he wants to et/mph the car properly.
