What wheels are those? Are they SSR Comps? They look great on your car!

Thanks! Right you are, they're SSR Comps 18x9. I'm really happy the way it turned out too. It was sort of a spur of the moment used goods purchase and I haven't seen the wheel in person before.

Nice, take good care of those, I've heard SSR Comps bend real easily!

how much did you get them for?

you're scaring me with the bending talk.. :( I will driving a little calmer though on bumpy roads to compensate, so thanks for the warning Vtluu.

I got them used off of EvoM forums from someone who works at Car&Driver. Apparently, these wheels were one of the four sets that Vish-eezy nu-heezy ran on their C&D evo at that 25-hr thunderhill challenge. Some minor nicks and scratches, but overall worth the 1500 I dropped.

I LOVE these rims! They look sooo good! They aren't THAT easily bent. I've hit some hard bumps now and again and my rims are still fine.

Thanks! I'm using tein flex coilovers. It rides pretty much like stock, but way less downwards suspension travel. Pulling out into the street from some lots, I get the three wheel motion.

I have those rims on my Eclipse. I have one small dent in the rim from a pothole, they are pretty sturdy just run your PSI really high.

I love those deep dish SSRs!! I saw those for sale on evom. What size are those? Like 18x9.5? Did you need to modify anything to make them fit?

I know what you mean about the rebound suspension travel w/ coilovers. With my front wheels up in the air, I have just a little over a fist-sized gap between the wheel and tire.

Thanks! Yeah, I bought them off a private seller on evom. They were one of the sets used on the car and driver 25-hr of thunderhill evo and they shipped to me with used slicks mounted on them. I was so temped to drive it around with slicks on the street, but I was too damn lazy to put them on knowing I'd have to take them off in a few hours.

The wheels are 18x9 with a 31 offset. I had to put a 3mm spacer in the front to clear the brembos and I trimmed the rear fenders just incase before I got the wheels so I'm not entirely sure if it was needed or not. From the look of it, I'm 75% sure it would have rubbed otherwise.

btw, 4 used slicks for sale for 100 bucks! (Advan A-005 size 230/650R-18). I have no idea what kinda "treadlife" is left.

awesome rims! it's great to finally see a pic of them,
too bad you had to use spacers though.
