wuddup yall
In the next couple of weeks i will be retuning my car/35r at 35+psi and will be approaching the 600 hp mark. Before I drop 1500 on a pair of axles do you think the stockers will be fine up to that point on the track or would you make the investment for a set of dss level 5's

I run the oem axles all around w/o any probs so far as do most others.

Put or save the money for other mods.

What's your mods list look like?

Yes i run them all.

What kinda clutch you got in there?

Is this a purpose built drag car or a street/strip car?

Specifically what disc?

There are very limited things in terms of a drag oriented wheel/tire set-up how serious of a set-up were you thinking?

If i had the chance to do it all over again i'd probably would have tried out the ACT non-sprung hub disc first before a twin disc at the older HP level the car was at.

Now to hold the power and allow for quick dis-engagement the twin is needed.

Granted if the car were to remain (70% street / 30% race) i should have gone with the Exedy twin and maybe go to the hydraulic tob.

The QM clutch has very harsh engagement in between shifts and from a stand still especially when it gets warmed up it grabs like crazy!

From your sig it sound slike you have a nice build going should make some nice power......what fuel will you be using?

FAST :eyecrazy:

LOL......actually once the car get's to the 500-550 range it all feels the same :icon_rolleyes:

I actually enjoy the smell of the VP fuels better than the corn stuff though.

In all seriousness if you ever get a chance you shuold try and make it to one of the drag events up here in Sac they have one on APR 5th if your car is ready for some action.

By the way if you wouldn't mind posting in the thread above to show Mike and the CMI guys how serious we are about having a class like this he has some good ideas expecially about a points championship to award those that are willing and lucky enough to survive a whole race season.
