Decent grip in the sun and rain and not too noisy. Any good recommendations?

I've been running michelin pilot sport ps2's and have been very pleased. Awesome dry weather handling and fantastic in the wet too. I've got 14k miles on this set so far, plus 5 track days. Pricey though

Did you just say your mileage improved from switching tires? I'm not sure if I read that right.

yup.. I switched to Falken St115 when I got my 18's and my mileage improved by 20 miles per full tank. I get 225 miles per tank full, now I am getting 245-250 per tank full. My driving habbit has not changed. Tires are damn quiet too.. I can listen to my radio with out turning up all the way up while driving 65 mph.

Did you get an alignment when you got your tires changed? I recently got my car realigned to have 0 toe front and back, and I get 15-20 miles more per tank now. I previously had .03-.04" toe-in front and back. I'm still on my advans.

14k *and* 5 track days?! That's incredible. I'm lucky to break 12k with 3 or 4 track days on one set of Kumho MX or Advans.

What is the treadwear on the Michelin Playstation2?

Maybe you were driving on flat tires before. I refuse to believe that changing to a different tire will improve your gas mileage. Maybe Tirerack should make that part of the tire specs they publish.
