I have a question about Royal Purple oil...Is this a good oil for evos and or do you guys recommend it...And whats so good about it versus other motor oil?...Just wondering thanks

I've have heard good and bad opinions, from people. I personally have not tried it, however I have heard from people as well, that Amsoil is much better as for engine oil goes. I have yet to search for the page where, a lab tested and reveal results of some different oils. I'll look around and link you.

I've heard/read that the best is still Mobil1 for our cars by the majority. However, some have also mentioned that Royal Purple was fine as well without any issues. I myself decided to try Eneos for the first time during my last oil change, which was about 2K miles ago...

i used royal purple oil and there filter too i havent seen aoil filter that small but probably would be better from not being hit by road debris. it worked fine for my daily but i use mobil 1 now cause its afew bucks cheaper and readily available

I spend almost 100 bucks every oil change for 5 quarts of oil and a filter. but my engine loves it so I cannot complain :wink:

Where can i get amsoil...I know walmart sells royal purple. Perhaps Kragen ,Pepboys, Autozone?...I thinking of trying it out with my motor for my next oild change and see if i like it.

There is an auto parts store a block up from Bascom ave and Blossom hill that stocks ams oil. Check the yellow pages under ams oil for other locations, it is like amway, dealers sell it out of their homes also. I used it on my first oil change, I used castrol this time, but plan on going back once I get a tune to reduce emissions going into the oil, and a better filter system if I can find the room to install it.

amsoil 5w-30 i think red cap & K&N oil filter, but gonna go back to the mitsu short one. $8.95 on the website & $9.95 @ Gotelli's in SSF.... i may also put Amsoil in my tranny. this is the oil: http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/asl.aspx

I just started using Eneos...
